Wagner has been around since April of 1999. Orignially named Excitebike, they were forced to change the name due to the possibility of a lawsuit from Nintendo. They started in Dave's basement, and immediately they knew they were gonna make some neato rock and roll. Josh, Dave and Danielle (the original bassist) were at the first practice, and they worked on the first song, "Sweet, Sweet Girl". Josh and Chris and Danielle were at the next practice and excellent progress was made. After about two months of hard work, they got their first show on June 20th, 1999 at the Sea Note in Hull, MA. It went pretty well, and not long afterward, they were approached with a contract from Mindtree Records asking them to make a cd. They graciously accepted. Soon afterward, Danielle decided to quit, because of internal conflicts. Adam came on the scene and was very enthusiastic at first. However, after the first show he had a kind of falling off with the band, and they were forced to kick him out. And that was where Ted Edwards of Hanover came in. Formerly of the Sellouts, he really knew how to play his bass. He was an excellent addition, and he was such a fun loving kid. The cd got under way in October, and the band spent every weekend at the lovable Mindtree Studios with Chris Adler and gang, and diligently worked on the cd. In the middle of production it was decided that another guitarist would help the band. One with more skill than Josh(He wasn't the greatest guitar player, and plus he had to sing too). So on that note they got John-o Zuffante of Quincy, Massachusetts. With the lineup complete, Wagner knew that they had something good going for them. They practiced and practiced and still recorded, and prepared for the shows they would soon be playing.... The rest is yet to be written, cause it hasn't happened yet!!!!!!
